Restaurants in Las Galeras

Casa de Norma, in Norma's "typical" Dominican house, is owned and operated by Bernd Appel and his wife Norma. Norma's three teen-aged boys help with construction, planting vegetables and flowers, etc. The restaurant, off the tourist path, plans to open soon. In addition to Dominican food, there is a pig-roasting pit and pizza/bread oven. Though Bernd's blog is in German, he speaks English and Spanish. For reservations, call 1-809-815-8761.

It is one of the best places in town to enjoy the sunset and
perhaps spot humpback whales.
The restaurant has an extensive menu and plays a wide variety of music.
